Provided that you know what you are doing and that you can maintain quality output you might not have known that sometimes less is more. Suuure, youve heard the saying before but have you actually put it into practice? If not, you dont know what youve been missing!

Making Web Experiences- not Sites
Think of your favorite ad and ask yourself what made it so good. Was it fast paced, easy to understand and addressed issues that mattered to you? What about surprise? Did it catch you off guard and leave you with a good feeling? Chances are that a good ad shares all those qualities plus a unique look and feel that instigates excitement in you.

You Get What You Pay For
Without pointing any fingers there are some web sites out there today that enable professionals to get projects on a basis of bidding against other designers. While I don't see this practice as immediately destructive I can understand why many other designers turn their noses up at the idea.

Stumbling towards deadlines
You can't live with 'em and you can't live without 'em; well, as a designer anyway. Deadlines: the bane of any professional; that thing that looms over the horizon, rushing ever closer as a reminder that time often runs out sooner than we'd like.

The Death of Print... I Think Not!
I would much rather be the man who found the Rosetta stone in the sands of Egypt than the person who has it on disk. People need print, people need to flip pages, feel texture.

Get It In Writing
Graphology, also known as handwriting analysis has been around for some time and though it may seem like reading tarot cards or tea leaves it is, in fact, quite scientific. Typography being such a large part of graphic design it is completely relevant to our craft to better understand the secrets of handwriting.
