| Vikki Dawson June 1, 2000 HTML Shrinker is a cool tool for getting the quickest download of your web pages. I took one of my html review pages that I did for The TIEMdesign- The Graphic Design Magazine to test with. You can see the shrunk version here. It will load in a new window. You have all the power to decide how your files are optimized. You choose where the new optimized files are saved to and whether to save backup files and where to save the backed up files to. I tested my file with images and without. The savings as far as file size was not changed. You can opt to remove images, scripts, style sheets, non breaking spaces and fonts before shrinking a file. The above shows the savings I had when shrinking this file. If you don't like what you see, you can restore the file by clicking the "Restore" button. The above dialog represents an additional shrinking after removing images from the file. The savings is small and reflects the image tags that were removed from the page. You can batch optimize files saving time. If you are into getting the best optimization and download times for your web pages then HTML Shrinker is a tool to have handy.
