In my opinion this is the best upgrade version of Painter that I have experienced since it's inception. It's performance is much smoother, faster, and easier to handle. I've always liked Painter and knew that someday it would match the potential it was created for by giving the artist a digital palette with realtime capability. As an artist myself, I know what I want and need in a painting program, and that is for the program to act as naturally as real life. Painter X, I believe, has achieved that.
