Ulead's GIF-X 2.0

I have found the Holy Grail of .gif animators! The one piece of software that not only makes it easy to animate gif's but also gives novices much needed insight into the entire process.

Never have I seen a plug-in like this! From the moment the CD was in the drive the fun began! Gif-X is a plug-in that allows you to animate your gifs but in a way I think you might find surprising! The effects are pre-done and all you need do is choose the effect and add it to your image.

Such effects as:

Rotation	3D Map	Neon	Flag
Clone	Scan	Cube	Color Shift
Bounce	Open Book	Zoom	Nickelodeon

As well as a whole slew of lighting effects! I had so much fun with this plug-in, I can't tell you! Well, I suppose I'll have to try to tell you.

Ulead GIF-X. Plugin 2.0 hosts 22 light and motion effects that take your image and create "instant" GIF animations, image sequences or high-quality still images, for those who just love the motionless effect.

You can use GIF-X to create a waving flag with your logo on it, a glowing neon sign so you can finally see your name in lights, or even digital scan lines like in those retinal scans you see in sci-fi movies.

Despite the small size of this plug-in there is just too much that it can do for me to display in one review. Suffice it to say, you'll be spending hours applying this filter to all the art you can get your hands on!

The flag effect! 

I would warn against excessive use of animated gifs but when it comes to learning how and where to apply this software, knock yourself out! Websites, multimedia, CD ROMs, etc... Your imagination and creativity are the only limits you should meet when using GIF-X.
