 This
book is awesome for learning those extra special techniques involved in
illustrating and creating one of a kind images. It starts by covering
the CorelDraw 9 interface and takes you through terrific tutorials on
creating many different types of images and effects including
explosions, cartoons, photo collages and much, much more.
The writer includes detailed
instructions and files on the CD that comes with the book. I don't
remember when I've had so much fun reading and using an instructional
manual.
Not only was it easy to follow along
with the tutorials, the graphical subjects of the tutorials made them
fun and interesting. The writer took concepts that I consider complex
and made them quick and easy.
The center of the book has a full color
section that includes final images from all the projects in the book
that is very impressive and inspires the imagination to want to do more.
This book is not only a good tutorial on many concepts of drawing and
applying effects but also a good reference to have handy.
The fonts were missing on
the CD-ROM but you can find them at the official CorelDRAW
9 f/x and design Web site .
