Whenever vertices or control points or vectors are animated in a sub-object mode such as Editable Mesh, Editable Poly, etc., the Master Point Controller is assigned to it. The Master Point Controller is really what it sounds like, a place or grid where you can make changes to the properties and helps you to manage numerous tracks created when animating vertices, points and vectors. Start by creating a simple object.
Now right-click the object and convert it to an Editable Mesh.
Now select Vertex under Selection.
Check Use Soft Selection and select vertices.
Now turn on Auto Key.
Move the slider to the 10th keyframe.
Now move some vertices on the object and notice keyframes appearing on the track bar.
Right-click on the object and select Curve Editor.
In Track View open Modes and change to Dope Sheet.
Now expand all the object tracks.
At this point you can select a master key (green vertice point), right-click it and open Properties, move keys, add keys, and reduce keys. You can select the master key and move it along with all it's sub keys. Imagine now having many keys with hundreds of sub keys and this method of making adjustments becomes very handy and economical.
