| Jacquelin Vanderwood | 1 | | Begin by opening the clipartplane.ai file. | | 2 | | Press the New Composition button. Set Duration to :18. Press Shift+Ctrl+B to choose your background color. Click on the clipartplane.ai file and pull down into the composition timeline. It will center the piece automatically. Just click on the plane and pull it down to the lower corner as seen below. | | 3 | | To begin this animation, click on the stopwatch in front of Anchor Point, Position, and Rotation. Drag the timeline indicator over to 04f keyframe. Check the boxes to the very left in the timeline. Continue doing this in a box format. If you do not check Anchor Point, you'll find that when you reposition the plane again, it won't stay where you thought you had it. As you go along, make sure to accurately set the Rotation. You can type it in. | | 4 | | Set the fourth set of keyframes. | | 5 | | Here is what the timeline should look like now when all keyframes are completed. | | 6 | | Select all the last keyframes and physically move this left with the Shift key held down. | | 7 | | Run the animation by pressing the Spacebar. If you see artifacts as the one you see below, that will tell you the plane is going outside of the comp window. | | 8 | | To adjust this problem, move the timeline indicator over between each series of keyframes. Move the plane up or over anywhere you find this problem. | | 9 | | Click on the word Rotation to select all the keyframes for that row. | | 10 | | Select the Keyframe Assistant and choose Easy Ease. Doing this will smooth out the rotation and also the keyframes will change in their appearance. | | 11 | | Select Add to Render Queue. Make sure Output Module is set to Animated Gif and Output to is where you name the file and put it where you can find it. Render, delete, and close. | | 12 | | Open Windows Explorer and find the file. Click on it to watch it. | Copyright 2002, Jacquelin Vanderwood, All Rights Reserved |
