Animating Text - Adobe After Effects Tutorial
| Jacquelin Vanderwood February 15, 2004 | 1 | | Below you can see we have imported the files and created a composition with them. |    | 2 | | Begin by selecting the Bochrome layer. |  | 3 | | The gray layer is the one we have selected. |  | 4 | | We want to animate the position of the text graphic by using Position. |  | 5 | | Go ahead and click on the clock to set the keyframe. |  | 6 | | Adjust the settings to reflect the data below. This will move the graphic off the screen. |   | 8 | | Put a checkmark in the box next to position to set an new keyframe. |  | 9 | | Reset the position number to 365. This moves the text back onto the screen. |  | 10 | | Hit the Page Down button to move two frames forward. |  | 11 | | Here is the settings for the first checked keyframe. |   | 12 | | Second keyframe settings. |   | 13 | | Third keyframe settings. |   | 14 | | Now select the Bumble text layer. |  | 15 | | Set a keyframe for the first position which is located at the 1 frame. |  | 16 | | Page down to go forward in the frames until the previous animated text comes close to the present text we are working on, approximately the 8th frame. |  | 17 | | Hit Page Down 4 times and set a new keyframe. Change the settings to 270. |  | 18 | | Page down again 4 times and set a new keyframe. Adjust the setting to 283. |  | 19 | | Change the setting to 348. |  | 20 | | Page down 4 times and change the setting to 300. |  | 21 | | Select the 5050 layer. Set a keyframe in Rotation at the last keyframe set above. |  | 22 | | Set the rotation to +32. Page down again 4 times and set a new keyframe. Change it to 0. |  | 23 | | Finally, hit the home key and press the Spacebar to watch the animation.
