The first thing we want to do is create a solid. Click on the Make Comp Size for this lesson.

Next we want to select the Oval tool.

Draw inside the window to create the oval.
Click on the 3D box area to make it active.
Select the Bevel Alpha filter.
Set the Edge Thickness to 16.50 and Light Angle to -60.

Hit the End key and make a new key frame by putting a checkmark in the box.
Increase the Edge Thickness to 72.
Apply Basic 3D.
Check the boxes for Swivel and Tilt at the first key frame.
Set the rotation to 1 (360 degrees) each for the end key frame.

Apply the Scatter filter.
At the end key frame set the amount to 836.
Select Layer and Light to create a light in the 3D scene. Keep it a white light. From here hit the spacebar and wait or create a movie that you can import as a background for the further animation within this animation. Add several circles and change their Transfer Mode.
