For this lesson on the strobe light we'll use the composition below. Import the file as a composition and then double click on it to open it up.

Create a new solid that will be on a layer above the comp. Make it white. Adjust it so it is above the text.
Make sure to select Make Comp Size.
Right-click on the layer and select Transfer Mode and select Classic Color Burn.

At this point select Strobe Light through Stylize to apply to the solid.

At the first frame set a keyframe for Strobe Color. Change the color to blue. Set the Strobe Duration to .25 and the Strobe Period to .5.

Set the layer to Best Quality by clicking on it's icon and click on the Adjustment Layer icon.

Set Blend With Original to 50%.
At the mid point set the color to green. At frame 1 set the color to red. At the 1.5 frame set a keyframe and change the strobe color to white.
Render the animation. Watch as it looks like the likes flicker and change colors.
