To begin this project you first need to create the text using the Text tool. You will easily find that on the Tools palette.
Define the area for the text by dragging in an area. Type in the text. I also applied Basic 3D to the text to create a little depth.
Use the Character Palette to make changes to the color, the font, the size, etc.
Now select Animation and choose Apply Animation Preset.
You'll find a wide choice of animated text effects located here.
Let's select the Lights and Optical file and choose Broadway.
Immediately we see changes but the real deal is when you hit the spacebar and watch the effect. The letters change colors.
Under Frequency we can find the Animation Presets selector. Open it up now.
You can change the animation style here.
For the moment let's undo the preset we applied and follow the original method of accessing the presets. This time try applying Sonar Ping. Watch the lettering disappear and reappear. From here experiment with the different presets. You can also find the animated presets demonstrated in the Help section of the program.
