In this tutorial I'll show you some of the ways Wave Warping can affect a project. Tutorial Includes project files.
I'll use this harmless space dog for this demonstration. I've pulled up the Wave Warp palette so that you can view

Under Wave Type we can see nine different type of waves available.

There are also 4 presets available that can be applied immediately.

When Wave Warp is first applied, we get this default version of Wave Warp.

Let's apply an animation preset of Bad TV 3 - weak and see the results.

Then go and apply the changes set up below.

You would then get a warp that looks like the one below.

Here's another example. Hit Reset and choose Sawtooth.

We get the default result of Sawtooth.

Let's make changes to the settings. Under Wave Height I set 10, Wave Width 20, Direction is 90 degrees, Wave Speed is 5, Pinning is Bottom Edge and Phase is 30.

Here's the result of these settings.

Make these changes to Sawtooth and see what happens.

The warp effect is quite dramatic.

Hit Reset and try Smooth Noise with these settings.

This can create quite an unusual background effect. These are just some of the variations you can create with Wave Warp.
