In this tutorial I'll show you how to create some lighting effects on text.
We'll start out with this black text on a dark blue background.
Next we want to make this layer 3D by clicking on the 3D icon.
We need to add a light to the scene.
When the light options dialogue box opens, change the color to yellow.
Let's then apply a color to the text.
Let's change the Intensity and Cone Angle of the light.
With the text selected and under Material Options reduce Specular to 33%.
Increase Shininess to 100%.
Change Metal to 37%.
Finally, you can animate the text and lights to achieve a variety of effects.
