Create a Teddy Bear - Adobe Illustrator Tutorial
| Jacquelin Vanderwood | 1 | | Begin by selecting the Elliptical tool. |  | 2 | | Click inside the art area. Set the options to 150 and 150. |  | 3 | | Create another circle 300 and 300. |  | 4 | | Create two circles for the ears 50 and 50. Then create two more circles of the same size for the cheeks. |  | 5 | | Create two circles 25 and 25. |  | 6 | | For the nose create an oval of 30.345 and 14.482. |  | 7 | | For the feet create circles of 150 and 150. |  | 8 | | For the paws 100 and 100. |  | 9 | | For the inside of the ears 30 and 30. |  | 10 | | You should have a picture that looks like the one below. |  | 11 | | Fill the pieces with color. |  | 12 | | Create an oval and send in back to the tummy area. No stroke is necessary. |  | 13 | | Create a small white circle for the highlight of the eye and duplicate it. |  | 14 | | Press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+G to group all of the teddy bear. Duplicate the bear. Select Expand with Stroke and Fill checked. |  | 15 | | For the duplicated bear, uncheck any Fill color. Set the Stroke color to brown. Set the Stroke weight to 10. |  | 16 | | Your piece should look like the one below. Bring the colored piece and set it on top. Group both together. |  | 17 | | Select the Line Segment tool and draw a line above the bear. Choose Warp>Arc and set to 100%. Then select Expand Appearance after closing Warp Options. |  | 18 | | Select the Path Type tool. Type in some text on the arc line. Set a rectangle for the background of orange.
