Here we have a logo that will be cut out in vinyl. It's been imported as an EPS graphic. I want to have an inner section for the O to have more depth so I want inner outlines. How is this done?
Begin by selecting all of the text.
Next we want to convert the text to outlines. Select Type and then Create Outlines.
Here we can see now that the text is actually converted to a graphic (or outlines).
Select the O letter.
Now to clone it you must press Ctrl+F to reserve it in the exact position. Select Path and click on Offset Path.
Make an offset number using negatives.
Your image is now set for saving it out to be cut in vinyl.
