To create this CD we want to make it in CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). Also, access Preferences and change Units to inches.
To create the circle for the CD, use the Ellipse tool and click on the screen. Designate the measurements shown below.
Open up the swatch library and choose Diccolor.
I chose a green for the fill and a white for the stroke set to 5 pt.
I then copied (Control+C) and pasted (Control+F) from the circle. I used the Scale tool and specified a reduction of 80%. I hit the / None button to specify no fill.
I decided to make the line dotted so I used Dashed Line and set the point to 2 with a gap of 6.
For the main text I used a solid green and highlighted it with a stroke of yellow. Next I opened 3D Extrude and Bevel Options and set the Extrude Depth to 19 pt.
Here's the screenshot of the title.
I selected a fish from the Nature symbols and added a drop shadow.
From this point I changed the view to Outline, selected the Ellipse tool and clicked on the center point holding the Alt key down. I followed the measurements set below.
I duplicated the circle and reduced the size by 50%.
Finally, I ungrouped the background and made adjustments to placement and decided to add some more symbols to the piece and called the CD finished.
