Start with a letter size document in CMYK format.
Set the guides to vertical of 1/2, 3, 5 1/2, and 8. For Horizontal the top and bottom should be 1/2" and the sides 1/4". Make sure to lock the guides.
Select the Ellipse tool and create a circle starting at the upper right corner.
Go and make a custom gradient as shown below. I used Pantone Solid Coated colors.
Next I duplicated and reduced the size of the first circle and dropped it onto it's own layer, then locked the original circle layer.
Using the Type on a Path tool, I created the text I needed, then used the Rotate tool to adjust the positioning.
For the center I used the initials created in one color then duplicating them and assigning new colors, and using a different font.
Then I told it to Collect in New Layer so that I could then duplicate a single layer.
So now we want to tell it to duplicate the original layer by selecting that option.
Then you click on that little button to select all the items in that layer, then using the Shift key and the Selection tool, move the item to a new square.
Now you should have standard size Avery labels that will print correctly.
