This lesson will cover more of the attributes regarding Live Paint such as groups.
We'll start with this drawing of a tomato.
I have grouped the tomato lines together as shown in the layer.
To make this a Live Paint group, select Make or Alt+Control+X.
This is now a Live Paint group.

When the Live Paint Bucket is selected and you hover over the drawing, areas will light up as shown below.
If we use the Live Paint Selection tool in this edit mode, it becomes simple and easy to delete and manipulate areas of the drawing. To access the edit mode you must use the Selection tool.
In edit mode I was able to go in and delete little lines around the drawing, and also extend lines to make them meet such as in the tongue area, and then I could fill that part with the right color. To deselect from edit mode, choose the Selection tool and click outside the box.
To edit one section of the Live Paint drawing, use the Live Paint Selection tool and click in the area.
You can then fill the area with a new color, a pattern or a gradient. To move a line, first select it with the Live Paint Selection tool, then change over to the Selection tool to move it. To delete strokes, select it the Live Paint Selection tool, then hit delete. Another point of interest is that you can change the size of the stroke.
