In this tutorial we will show you how to create a great 3d extrude photo effect in Adobe Illustrator CS3.

Place an image.
I placed an image of myself:

Now go to: "Effect/3d/Extrude & Bevel"

Set the following settings:

Press ok and look, you have a very nice 3d image effect:
