In this tutorial you'll learn how to create a drop cap for your paragraph in order to bring interest to the text.
So here I have the paragraph highlighted as starters.

Next I need to click on the Paragraph icon.

At this point you want to increase the number of lines for drop caps.

Now under Paragraph Styles click on the Create New Paragraph Style button.

Under Paragraph Style Options I'll name the style Drop Cap A.

Next I want to change the font and it's size to better fit into the text.

Next I want to create a new character style and so I select Character Style Options and name it DropCap Tiranti which tells me quickly what type of drop cap it is.

Then I need to go and edit the character style and so I right-click on the style and choose Edit "Drop Cap A".

Under Drop Caps and Nested Styles I need to change the Character Style to DropCap Tiranti.

I then select the next paragraph.

Click on the Drop Cap A style.

And the new style is applied to the next paragraph. You can select all the paragraphs at one time and click on Drop Cap A and it will apply the new style.
