In this lesson I'll show you how to create a gradient.
We'll create a gradient in the orange box.

Let's go to the Swatches palette and click on the arrow to open it. Click on New Gradient Swatch.

You should now see this panel.

Click on the white swatch on the Gradient Ramp to open up the color bars. You'll see the CMYK bars. To change that click on the drop down box and choose Swatches. Select a color.


Choose a color for that swatch and then click on the black swatch and choose a color it as well.

To add an additional color to the gradient, click below the bar then choose a new color.

Click OK and notice how it's been added to the Swatches palette.

We can then apply it to the rectangle. To edit the gradient, simply double click on the swatch or click the arrow on the Swatches palette and edit it that way.
