In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a lofted object.
Start by selected Surfaces in the drop down box then click on the Curves tab.

Select the circle.

Draw it out on the grid.

Now go to Edit and choose Duplicate with Transform. Remember the shortcut key to repeat an action is G.

So the process is as follows, use Duplicate with Transform, use G to repeat the action, and use R to enlarge or decrease the size.

Select the bottom ring first then follow upwards in succession. Do not skip around. Select each reach with the Shift key pressed.

The last ring to be selected is the smaller inner ring that was dropped down slightly.

Now open Surfaces and click on Loft.

You should see this shape.

Use the Move tool here and move the lofted item to the side. Hit the number 6 to view the item in grayscale.

You can now edit the original and watch the grayscale version change as you do that.
