To create a customized page from a template, you need to go to New under file.
At this point choose Web and then Page Samples. You'll notice that you are given a series of designs for a web page to choose from. I have chosen the Sushi Bar for this lesson. Press OK.
After pressing OK, you'll be asked to save the page so save it in a place that is easy to locate.
To change or edit a graphic, double-click on it and it will open in the parent program which in this case is Photoshop.
Here is the Photoshop version of the buttons from the template. At this point you can use the same measurements as these buttons have and create a totally new button, or change the color of the buttons to suit your own taste.
Using Hue/Saturation I changed the color of the graphic and then closed it. When I switched back to GoLive, the graphic had been changed.
I changed the name to reflect my own interests by clicking on it and retyping the text.
I also changed the name at the top to reflect my goal.
You can also retype your own menu here. I have not done it but wanted to let you type your own text instead.
To change the background of the above graphic, select Background from the Inspector tab and check Color. See the arrow on the color chip, open it and select from the many choices. When you have completed changing the different graphics, text, and backgrounds, save the page.
