This tutorial shows you one way to create your own texture and alpha and capture it.
We can start by changing the background color to white by selecting Flat Color and then under Texture choose Fill Layer.

Let's choose the PaintBrush tool, then for Stroke choose Grid, Alpha choose Alpha 34, Material choose GradientSky and select the color blue.

Drag out the design on the screen.

Select AlphaBrush and under Modifiers, choose Soft Color.

For Stroke select Color Spray, for Alpha choose Alpha 22, for Material choose MatCap Skeleton, and choose the color yellow.

Paint around the canvas.

Now select the MRGBZGrabber tool.

Drag across the canvas and watch how immediately a texture and an alpha are created.

If you open up the Alpha panel, you'll notice the new alpha has been added.

So too when you open up Textures.

Finally, you can apply this texture to a model, invert it as well, export the alpha. There are several uses for both the texture and alpha. This is one way to paint on the screen and make textures and alphas using the MRGBZGrabber tool.
