Here's the photo we'll be working from.
I begin by laying in two sky colors.
Then I blended with a dry brush.
I then used a straight edged soft brush starting with dark to light colors and with short strokes added in the trees. This may take you a little time to do.
I then blocked areas of color for the foreground.
Finally I blended the background somewhat and proceeded to use the same technique as the trees to add in interest in the foreground.
