In this tutorial we will show you how to focus an image in Paint Shop Pro.
First, lets open an existing picture/photo

Now, lets duplicate the background layer (Layers/Duplicate)

This is how your Layer Panel will look like:

Then lets apply the Radial Blur filter (Adjust/Blur/Radial Blur)

After that, center the cross on your main object and follow the settings below:

After doing so, lets decrease the copied layer's opacity just enough for you to see the background layer.
Do this, simply by going to Layers/Properties and lower down its opacity to 81%

Now, lets activate the Eraser Tool just by pressing "X" and apply the following settings:

As soon as you do so, start applying the eraser tool on the Main object exposing the background layer.
Continue doing this until you attained the outcome you want as in this example below:

Finally, set the current layer's opacity back to 100% (Layers/Properties)
