| Vikki Olds | 1 | | Well, here is my tired old bird photo again. I decided it's about time to fix it's color by using Paint Shop Pro 7 adjustment layers. The original image is below. It's dark and it's color is far from true. | | 2 | | To use adjustments layers go to Layers>New Adjustment Layer and choose the type of adjustment layer you want to add to your image. | | 3 | | The first adjustment layer I added was the Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer. You can see the changes to the image as you move the sliders. After adding other adjustment layers you might need to come back and adjust each layer again. | | 4 | | The next adjustment layer I added was for color balance. | | 5 | | The last adjustment layer I added was for color levels. | | 6 | | My layer palette shows all the adjustment layers and I can access the properties of each layer by right clicking on the layer and choosing properties. | Original Brightness/Contrast added Color Balance added Color Levels added After you have your layers added you can go back and adjust them more to get just the right effect for your image. This is a quick and dirty way to fix those photos that are off and need just a little bit of work. Copyright 2001, Vikki Olds, All Rights Reserved |
