Perspective Tiling - Corel Paint Shop Pro Tutorial
Donnamarie J. Walker | | This tutorial uses Paint Shop Pro and KPT 3 for the Perspective Tiling. 1. Download the Pink Lace Heart tube here. Open a new image 400 x 400 Transparent, open your Heart tube, copy and paste as a new layer. Add another layer and using a Glass Globe of your choice, center your Globe over the Heart. Turn off your bottom layer and Merge Visible the Heart and Globe. Copy. Before we go any further let's save in PSP format and name this file Perspective_Tiling. | | | 2. Add a new layer and flood fill with Black. Paste your Heart/Globe in the center of the canvas using your Ruler as a guide. Deselect. | | | 3. Go to Image - Effects - KPT 3 - Planer Tiling. Mode: Perspective Tiling - Glue: Screen Opacity: 100%, click the green button. Pretty cool, huh? Now Sharpen once. | | | 4. Move your Merged Heart/Globe layer up above the Tiling layer, resize this Heart/Globe by 50%. Copy and paste as a new selection, and while still selected resize this Heart/Globe by 50% and copy. Paste once again, using the finished image above for placement. Now Sharpen. You can Sharpen once more if you'd like to make those Heart/Globes shine! Control S to save.
5. Let's add another layer for our Sparkles. Using your Tube Tool, select your Sparkle, Size 15, we want them small so they do not overpower our image, and place the Sparkles around your image, using sets of three in some spots. Change the tube to Size 18 and add a few more Sparkles. Now let's really make those Sparkles shine by using Sharpen. Control S to save. | | | Believe it or not, you are done! To finish off your image with framing, Shift D to duplicate and Merge All Layers Flattened. I never work off the original and I always save it in PSP format just in case I want to use it again or make changes. Don't forget to sign your work! I do hope you've enjoyed this simple tutorial. I use this effect a lot when playing with WETs. KPT 3 is an excellent source for Perspective Tiling! Try some of its other features like Video Feedback and, another favorite of mine, Vortex Tiling. Have fun!
