Glass Cross Globe - Corel Paint Shop Pro 6 Tutorial
Donnamarie J. Walker | 1 | | Download The Glass Cross Globe zip here and unzip into your favorite folder. Open Paint Shop Pro and open all of your images and export the tubes or use as is as they are in PSP format. | | 2 | | Open a New Image 400x400>Transparent. This will be your background layer. You can flood fill it now with your color or texture, or leave as is. | | 3 | | Add a New Layer and name it Glass Globe. Place your Glass Cross Globe in the center of your image. Then use the Mover tool to move it up a bit near the top so you will have plenty of room to work and to add your base. | | 4 | | Add a New Layer and name it Cross. Place your Floral Cross image and move it until it sits in the center of the globe. Image>Resize 60%. Now go to your Layers Palette and grab this layer and move it under the Glass Globe layer. | | 5 | | Add another New Layer and name it Clouds. Use the Clouds tube that comes with PSP with a setting of 30%. While this layer is still active, use your Eraser for any clouds that show around the edges of the Glass Globe. Be careful, and make sure you move this layer below the Floral Cross so the Clouds are behind the Floral Cross. | | 6 | | Add a New Layer and name it Text. Choose your font, I used the Dropper to choose a color from the image to use as my Text color. Here you can write whatever you choose or use the same saying I used on my globe. | | 7 | | Add a New Layer and name it Base. Place the silver Glass Cross Globe Base and move it until it sits properly beneath the globe. Also move this layer beneath the Floral Image. | | 8 | | Crop any excess off your image. | | 9 | | At this point, if you plan to animate, add a New Layer and call it Sparkles or Snow or whatever you're using. Move it beneath the Glass Cross Globe. Duplicate this image two times and add your sparkles accordingly. | | 10 | | If you don't plan to animate and have added your Sparkles, go to Layers>Merge>Merge All Flatten. If you are animating, then go to Layers>Merge>Merge Visible, save in PSP format and name images. | | 11 | | If you'd like to animate, below are the steps to walk you through using Animation Shop. Let's open Animation Shop! | | 12 | | File>Animation Wizard.
Same size as first frame>Next.
