Homemade Scratchboard - Corel Painter 8 Tutorial

Begin by filling the first layer with a rainbow gradient. |  | 2 | | Add a new layer and fill it with black. |  | 3 | | Now select Erasers and choose Pointed Eraser 7. Remember, the [ and the ] increase and decrease the size of any and all brush tools. |  | 4 | | Using Straight Line strokes and a brush size of 1.8, map the outline of a vase. |   | 5 | | With a brush size of 3.1, erase areas of the neck of the vase. |  | 6 | | Change the eraser attributes to the specs below. |  | 7 | | Follow the procedure as shown below for the body of the vase. | | 8 | | Beginning with the specs below, trace the shape of the vase. |   | 9 | | Change the eraser again. |  | 10 | | Create the lined effects below. |  | 11 | | Using the same eraser settings as above, create some more lines in the rest of the vase. |  | 12 | | With an eraser size of 1.9, place in some stems. |  | 13 | | Increase the eraser size to 29.9. Add tops to the stems. |  | 14 | | Reduce the brush to 1.8 and opacity to 13%. Add the flower detail. |  | 15 | | Continuing with the same settings add design to each side of the artwork. |  | 16 | | Change to the Rectangle Eraser 20 and add some more effects in the background. |    | 17 | | Open the Brush Creator and change the Dab Type to Static Bristle. Make sure Clone Color on the color wheel is checked. Add texture to the flower. |  | 18 | | Now do a Drop and Select, then apply a feather of 3.0.
