The Making of a Shape - Corel Painter Tutorial
| Jacquelin Vanderwood February 15, 2004 | 1 | | The first step we need to take in this process is to create a new library for our own shapes. Open Selection Mover. | | 2 | | Click on the New button. | | 3 | | In a complete new folder named mySelections, create a library by naming it library1. This will help you in the future when you have a sizeable collections of shapes in various libraries. | | 4 | | Open the library now. It will be empty as it should be. Let's create and add a shape. Click on the Pen tool. Make sure Stroke and Fill are checked. | | 5 | | Draw a shape. I've drawn a duck. | | 6 | | Select Convert to Selection. | | 7 | | Click on the Selection Adjuster tool. Drag onto the Selection Portfolio palette and name the piece. | | 8 | | Now your selection is a permanent part of the library. | | 9 | | Test the selection by dragging the selection onto the blank page. Use Fill to color the duck. | | 10 | | Now it's ready to be worked on to create anything you need. | Copyright 2004, Jacquelin Vanderwood, All Rights Reserved | |
