Primitives Dirty Monsters - Corel Painter Tutorial

Jacquelin Vanderwood February 15, 2004   1 Start this project by using the Pen tool and drawing several outlines of characters in a very straight manner. 2 Make sure all the above layers have Preserve Transparency selected. Next, choose Chalk and Dull Grainy Chalk 10. Using a dirty form of green draw inside the monsters.   3 Change to the color brown set at 84% Opacity. Also change to Tapered Large Chalk 30. Roughly go around the outsides of the pieces.   4 Change to Grainy Wet Sponge 70 set at a brush size of 41 and Opacity of 82%. Change to a new green and follow the drawing below.   5 Again, change to Loaded Wet Sponge 160 under Sponges. Change to a darker green and follow my example.   6 With the same sponge but with new settings, add in some orange.   7 Now change the settings again and make some rough faces with the color black.   8 Use Photo Burn to add depth and then use Colorizer to add some interest.   9 Create some eyes for each character making an ellipse twice, one white and one black then grouping. Then copy and paste and move into place.   10 Use the Grainy Blender 30 from the Blender brushes set at size 10 and opacity at 38%. Add fingers and toes using black and a small pencil.
