Begin with an oval shape. | | 2 | | Use the Shape Selection tool to manipulate the anchor points to create an egg shape. | | 3 | | Select the bottom points one at a time and drag evenly outward. | | 4 | | Select the top points and drag inward. | | 5 | | Select one side point at a time and rotate. | | 6 | | Complete the other side to match. | | 7 | | Drag the center points inward. | | 8 | | Pull down on the bottom point to complete the egg shape. | | 9 | | Using the Layer Adjuster tool in the Layer menu, select the egg and choose Convert to Default Layer. | | 10 | | Select the Magic Wand tool. | | 11 | | Select the inner part of the egg. | | 12 | | Create a new Two-Point gradient. Move the dial to 270 degrees. | | 13 | | Now fill the egg shape with the new gradient. | | 14 | | Apply a paper texture using Basic Texture. | | 15 | | Use the Pen tool to draw in the body parts. To deselect a line you are drawing, press the Control key first and then click outside of the object you are drawing. Also, use the Oval shape with only Fill checked to create the eyes and the little bobbles hanging from the hat. Finally, under Photo brushes, use the Saturation Add to darken the cheeks. Then choose Dodge to lighten the eye and lip areas. | Copyright 2004, Jacquelin Vanderwood, All Rights Reserved | |
