In this tutorial I'll show you how to create a painting of a gorilla using Cloner brushes.
We start with a Quick Clone of the subject.

The first Cloners Brush will be the Impressionist Cloner.

Here's the general setup for the brush.

Under Angle, click on the area that shows the brush and it will turn to look like the brush you are using. Set Squeeze to 40%.

Start painting above the eyes where the hair is located.

Try and follow the direction of the hair growth.

For the second part, use the Bristle Oils Cloner 15.

You can then block in the face making sure to follow in the direction of the face structures.

For the eyes, I changed to Smeary Flat Cloner.

I then delicately painted in the eyes.

Then we need to change to Tinting and select Soft Eraser with a opacity of 7%.

Here's the result of just some simple methods to produce an interesting portrait.
