In this tutorial I'll cover how to create a tropical scene using pinks and purples, and using the RealBristle Brush "Real Oils Short". Tutorial Includes project files.
The canvas will be 810 by 500 with a deep purple.

We'll be using Real Oils Short.

Here are the specs for the brush.

We'll be using this salmon color to replicate pink on a deep purple surface. If you have a Wacom tablet to use, it would be a lot easier to perform this lesson.

Starting at the bottom of the project, use one paint stroke without lifting and create a lighter version of purple using the above color.

I used four strokes here to making sure not to paint in as deeply as I did in the last step.

With one stroke and leaving negative space for the mountains, begin painting the outline of the mountains and proceed up to the top of the painting never lifting the brush.

In this step I added five brush strokes with the same technique as the previous one.

In this step I used two strokes to build the palm trunk.

For the palm frond I used one semi long stroke then worked backward up to the base.

Continuing with the same method I made the rest of the fronds.

Reducing the size of the brush 10 pts., I painted in some coconuts.

In this step I applied Sharpen using Gaussian as the Aperture.

We have our tropical scene.
