In this tutorial you'll learn how about opening Photoshop files in Painter and having all the layers transfer over.
We start by saving the file out in Photoshop as a PSD file.

Then we do a simple Open command in Painter.

We can see the layer mask that was saved in Photoshop also transfers over to Painter. The layers are intact and ready to manipulate. Channels shows the mask after you click on the layer in Layers otherwise you won't see it automatically.

Then you can start playing with the file in Painter.
