Zoom Effects - Corel Painter Tutorial
by Jacquelin Vanderwood | 1 | | This technique will show you how to do some interesting effects using the Zoom Blur feature on a floater. Begin by opening up a photo or piece of artwork. Next choose Select>All (Command-A). Choose Floater Adjuster tool, hold down Option key and click image. This will create an exact duplicate floater of your original picture. | | 2 | | To blur the photo select Objects Palette:Floater List. Now select Effects>Focus>Zoom Blur. For a moderately sized photo, approximately 580 pixels, I applied an Amount of 31%. Set the focal point by clicking inside the photo. Click OK. | | 3 | | To open an up an area that has been blurred, choose White in the Color Palette. In the Brushes Palette select Airbrush variant. Select the floater in Objects:Floater List. Click on the Mask List and select the floater mask. Now begin painting and you'll see the original photo return. To reblur a section that you painted out, click on black to reapply the blur. | | 4 | | I then used the Controls:Adjuster and clicked on Lighten to create a dusty effect. | | Copyright 1999 Jacquelin Vanderwood, All rights reserved |
