This is a simple tutorial to learn the basics of creating an image list to use with the Image Sprayer tool. For the purposes of this tutorial create a simple image. I've created a small fir bough as shown below.

With the Image Sprayer Tool selected find the arrow button shown below on the Brush Settings property bar.

Click on it and choose Save Objects as Image List.

The next dialog that opens will ask if you want to create a directional image. Click yes.

Enter the number of images. For my list I entered 6.

Once you click ok you will be prompted to name the list. Name it and click ok.
Open a blank image and load your new image list. Test it out to see what it looks like.

Below is a simple use for my fir bough. I could have continued to fill in the wreath and when I do that with the boughs I get some very nice color variances that produce a good deal of depth.
