In this tutorial we will show you how to save a transparent gif image in Corel PhotoPaint X3.
Open an existing image in which you want to remove its background.

Then, select the Magic Wand Mask Tool to select the areas you want to delete.

After that, go to:
Edit/Delete from the Main Menu.

This is how the image will look like:

Before we can use the transparency tool, we will first have to decrease the color resolution to 256 or less, so go to:
Image/Convert to Paletted (8-bit):

The Convert to Paletted window will pop up.
Choose Color: 256 (or less).
Click: OK

Now we will need to use the Color Transparency Tool, but before we can use it, we need to convert our image from a background to an object.
To make it as an object, right click on the thumbnail icon in the object docker, and choose Create and object from Background:

To use the transparency color tool, just click in the background area of your image (in this case, the white parts), then click "apply" on the property's bar.
As soon as you do so the background will be removed.

After that, the background will disappear:

Then you can freely save your image as a gif one.
You can do it!!
