Text with Metal Patina

We
are going to give a metal patina to some text. Patina
is often added to bronze or copper by using a chemical
to control the color. We will go as far as filling the
text in this tutorial and continue in part 2. Be sure
to see the Scripts tutorial which will make an automatic
action/script (For Photo-Paint only) out of the steps in both of these tutorials.

inches to pixels just click the down arrow and click on
pixels, then enter the number you want in the height and
width boxes. I use 72 resolution because it's for the
Web.

the Objects Docker window we need to be sure that we have
the Lock Object Transparency on. See how it is depressed
and lighter in color, it is on. If it isn't you just click
on it.
