See the green leaf in the photo? We want to pull it out using the Extract option.
Let's access Filter and Extract.
Select the Edge Highlighter.
Make the Brush Size 20.
Paint around the entire green leaf.
Select the Fill tool.
Click inside the leaf area.
Click on the Preview button. As we can see, the extraction is not complete.
Recheck Show: Original, and check Show Highlight and Show Fill. Paint and Fill again.
Uncheck Show Highlight and Show Fill. Selected Show: Extracted. Use Black Matte as Display.
I found I couldn't grab some areas of the leaf so I started fresh and new and zoomed in to do the second attempt. I liked what I saw this time.
If you're happy, press OK to return to the file and use the image however you choose. I like the way the leaf looks and will work well with what I want to use it for.
