June 2006
Make a new layer. Use the Paintbrush tool to paint in a background similar to the one below.
Choose a Custom Shape and create several versions of it.
On a new layer use the Pen tool to make a shape then duplicate that shape in a new layer move the design up.
Apply Bevel and Emboss to the shape on the bottom.
Create a new layer below the two shapes and use the Rectangle shape to make a column.
For a button create a rectangle shape then apply a 1 px stroke and then a Drop Shadow. When you've completed this step, create a new layer and Shift+click to select this button layer then press Control+E to merge to flatten the layer.
Duplicate the button two more times.
Behind the buttons use the Rectangle tool and make a backdrop of rectangles and fill.
Using the Rectangle shape, create some contains. For each layer use the Group into New Smart Object.
So what we have so far should look like this.
Now it's time to add a title and text. I first typed in the text and then selected the second word and changed it's color.
I then added a Drop Shadow to the title text.
It was then embellished with a line of text below it.
More text verifies who the company is related to.
Next I added text to the side menu and set up sections for browsing and search that can then be programmed for buttons and a dropdown menu.
Finally, I decided it needed something more so I created a new layer above the top design and used the Paintbrush tool and painted in something of a white cloud, then blurred it and changed the transparency of the layer to 61%. Now the page is ready for text and photos or what else you'd like to put there.
