In this tutorial we will show you how to create a wispy, ghostly image in Adobe Photoshop. Tutorial Includes project files.
Open the image you want to add the ghost effect to:
Now the image must be converted to grayscale mode:
Go to the Main Menu and Select: Image/Mode/Grayscale
Now you have to create a new Layer:
After that, select the Brush Tool
Look at the Options bar across the top of the screen, and set your brush to a relatively large soft edged brush
Now tap "X" (Makes white the foreground color)
Begin painting in from the edges, on the new layer, in white:
Keep painting until you've removed the background.
After that we will have the Ghost Image Effect, look:
