In this tutorial we will show you how to reduce the colors of a photo to a few nice tones, in Photoshop CS3.
Open a photograph.

Go to: Image/Mode/ and select: Grayscale

Then, we will need to go to: Image/Mode/Duotone

The Duotone window will pop up.
On Type, select: Tritone.
Then select the colors:
The first one must always be black.
The other two can be the ones you want or need:

In each row, you can see two boxes first, and an info text row.
We will need to click the first box, so that we can select the hue of the given color on a separate dialog box, look the example:

The same you need to do with the third color, select the numbers that best work with your photo:

Heres the result, aint much expressive than before? =)
