In this tutorial I'll show you some technique while creating a screen identity.
The size of the screen will be 8.5 x 5.5 72 dpi. We want to fill the background with a customized gradient as shown below.

On a new layer create this gradient. Change the layer mode to Pin Light.

Create a Sun 2 shape in darker blue and change the Opacity of the layer to 22%.

On a new layer create a circle shape and fill with white.

Apply a Drop Shadow, an Inner Shadow, and a Gradient to the ring. Make sure to follow the settings I've created below.

Duplicate the ring layer and reduce the size with Transform and the Shift key.

On a new layer type the word circle using Futura HV at 250 pt in white.

In the Layer Styles palette apply a Drop Shadow, an Inner Shadow, a Bevel and Emboss, Satin, Color Overlay, and Stroke.

In the same font in white at a size of 18 pt. type in the word broadcasting and the piece is complete.
