In this tutorial we will show you how to apply transparency settings into a video in Adobe Premiere. Tutorial Includes project files and video.
Start a new document.
Go to the Project Panel and right click over it and choose "Import File"

As soon as you select the video, click OK

Then release the video into the "Video" section at the Timeline Panel and select it.

Now go to the Windows Menu and select Workspace/Effects

A new panel will appear, we will select Transparency/Setup from it.
(Remember that your video must be selected.)

The Transparency Window Settings will pop up:

Now you can give the transparency effect you desire for your video.
In this case, I selected The "Luminance" effect at the Key type menu. (It makes your video look brighter)

Once you select the Luminance effect the Threshold and Cutoff options will show up.
I selected 30 for the Threshold and 71 for the Cutoff.
Then click OK.

Now the video will look brighter.
Enjoy =)
