This tutorial will show you how to create buttons.
From the Layout Panel press the Insert Text Button on the Insert Toolbar.

Then write the phrase: “PRESS HERE” and paint it violet from the Text Menu.

With the Select Tool, right click on the text you just wrote on the layout panel (“Press Here”). In the menu select /Convert/Convert to Button (as you can see on the image below).

Once you convert your text or image into a Button go to the Button Panel. Where it says Name: Write the name you wish give to the button you just created. For ex: "Press Here". From the several options lets choose the Separate Over State, for you to see how it works.

As soon as you choose one the Outline Panel will look like this:

As you see above, the Outline Panel its showing you the two states of your button (The Up state and the Over state).
Now go to the Outline Panel and Select the Over State button Text as shown below:

Now paint the text you wrote before (“PRESS HERE”) on the Layout Panel with the red color on the Text Menu Panel:

Ok, now you have made a button that will change its color from violet to red when you release the mouse over it.
You can test it by clicking Ctrol+Enter.
