The objective of this tutorial is to teach you how to trace an image. This will allow you to write text over the image.
First open up a new document.
Then go to view and scroll down to Tracing Image/Load.
Next, a dialog box will appear that says Select Image Source on the top of the window. Browse for an image which you want to "trace". Once you have that image selected hit select.
Then, another dialog box will appear as shown below.
Pick a title for the picture, (for example name it "Image 1") which your tracing over and select the background, and text as well. You can also adjust any other properties of the picture you want at this time.
When selecting Apply, and hitting ok, your image will be inserted as part of your background in your workspace area. You can now type whatever you like, over your image as shown in the figure below.
