This tutorial will show just a few of the script effects available in Paint Shop Pro 9. Below is my original image.

To create a matte for your picture quickly and easily you can use the built in SimpleCaption script. You can have a caption or not and can choose the type of matte that shows behind the picture.


The Airbrush and ink script gives an architectural drawing type of appearance.


Colored chalk gives a surreal type of effect that has a more 3d look to it.


The Painted and carved wood script offers many choices before you get to the final effect. I used the default settings in all the dialogs as shown below.





The final effect is a textury effect that adds dimension to an image.

That's all there is to it. You can create some terrific effects with your photos quickly and easily using the built in scripts or write your own but that's for another lesson.
