Easter Globe - Corel Paint Shop Pro 6 Tutorial

| 1 | | This is a very quick and easy way to make an Easter Globe which you can send to family and friends. Download the Easter Globe zip file here. Unzip into a folder of your choice and open your images in Paint Shop Pro. | | 2 | | Open a New Image 150 x 350 Transparent. Leave this transparent for now, we will flood fill it later with white. | | 3 | | Add a New Layer and call it Template. Copy and paste the Egg Template near to the top but leaving a little room to work. | | 4 | | Click in your Flood Fill tool, and choosing Pattern and selecting the
Easter Floral, or using one of your own images, click and fill the Egg Template. Go to Colors>Adjust Brightness and Contrast>Brightness:-15>Contrast:20 OK. Now go to Image>Sharpen>Sharpen. Deselect. | | 5 | | Add a New Layer and call it Globe. Copy and paste your Egg Globe over the floral image, making any adjustments so the globe covers the image. It should fit perfectly. I added a drop shadow since this globe will not be on a transparent background. Image>Effects>Drop Shadow>Black>Opacity:50%>
Blur:4.1>Horizontal and Vertical:2. I recommend leaving off the shadow if you want this transparent without any jagged edges. | | 6 | | Add a New Layer and call it Base. Copy and Paste that gorgeous Easter Globe Base as a new selection, moving it until it sits just right beneath your Egg. You may need to use the Deformation tool to stretch the base ever so slightly wider, so that the Egg sits inside of the base. Add a Drop Shadow the same as before if you'd like. | | 7 | | Add a New Layer, call it Text, and place your text. | | 8 | | Crop any excess off your image. | | 9 | | Go to your Layers Palette and click on Layer 1, flood fill with white. | | 10 | | If you choose to animate your egg at this point, click in the Template layer. Shift D to duplicate your image two times. Add your Sparkles or whatever you choose to use to the Template layer. You can also add additional layers for the Sparkles. | | 11 | | Merge Layers Visible if you are animating, Merge All Flatten if you
are not. If you're not doing animation, then you can save your Easter Globe now, as a gif or jpg. | | 12 | | If you are animating, save your images as Egg1, Egg2, and Egg3 in PSP format. Open up the Animation Shop, add your images and animate as you choose. Here's my globe using different images and animating.
